Trivia[]

  • There are some noticeable differences in this episode compared to the every other episode of the series:
    • Diego and Alicia's designs in this episode look silmilar to the designs used in Dora the Explorer, specifically Dora and Diego to the Rescue! and Big Sister Dora respectively.
    • Diego starts the episode without his Rescue Pack. He gets it when he's about to leave the Rescue Center.
    • Click appears to be attached to the science desk instead of standing atop a camera stand. Also she appears at least three times her normal size.
      • Also, when Click introduces herself after singing Say "Click!", she's frowning instead of smiling.
    • The computer Alicia uses in the episode looks way different.
    • The Rescue Center makes minimum changes.
    • Diego's zipline is orange instead of brown.
    • When Diego ziplines, he accelerates in high speed.
    • Most of the animals in the rainforest are the same concept as Dora the Explorer.
    • The Animal Rescue Center changes up in this episode, as it keeps its normal appearance in other episodes, expect for this one.
    • Alicia has a different design in this episode with her head being a bit smaller with bigger eyes and her hair in a different hairstyle until the "Let's Review!" segment.
    • Rescue Pack has his design from Dora the Explorer when Alicia throws it to Diego.
    • Diego's rescue pack made some slight changes.
    • Although Diego's vest does turn into a lifejacket, it turns orange instead of staying white.
    • During the Animal end song:
      • Diego and crew sing, "We saved the humpback whale!" four times instead of screaming the featured animal's name four times.
      • The melody is not in the key of E Major, but it was instead in the key of F major.
    • When Diego was looking for Tuga, an orange cursor appeared. This may hint that the show was going to have a similar computer concept to Dora the Explorer.
      • The orange cursor is mostly used for Alicia's explanations of the animal and during the Let's Review segment, but shows up when needed.
    • At the end of the episode, the picture of the humpback whale doesn't get printed out nor does it go in the animal science book. They did say they can print it out and put it in the animal science book, though, so they may have done it offscreen after the end of this episode.
    • It's possible that this is the first episode in production order, and was supposed to be the first episode aired, as it has many elements to introduce the show.
  • This episode introduces Diego's parents, who are also Dora's aunt and uncle.
    • This is also the first time they have a speaking role.
  • Beginning with this episode, whenever Baby Jaguar meows, it is accompanied by a realistic growling noise.
  • Baby Jaguar appears in this episode but he has a minor role.
  • Diego's parents appeared in this episode, so the viewers get a look of what Diego's parents would look and be like.
  • In an exclusive interview with Nick Jr., Jake T. Austin revealed that this is his favorite episode.
  • The Puma animation is recycled from Chinta the Baby Chinchilla.
  • The scene where Diego says, "Whoa, look!" is used in the Wonder Pets DVD trailer for "Save the Wonder Pets!".
    • Coincidentally, this show and the aforementioned show both have to do with rescuing animals.
  • This is the third time where Baby Jaguar is needed to be rescued albeit in the beginning, the previous two instances are from the Dora the Explorer episodes "Meet Diego!" and "Rescue, Rescue, Rescue!".
  • In production order, this is the first episode for one thing.
    • Baby Jaguar is still voiced by Thomas Sharkey, but this is the first episode where one gets to hear Baby Jaguar speak. He previously meowed and growled during Seasons 3-4 of Dora the Explorer.

Goof/Error[]

  • When Diego is ziplining, Rescue Pack's strap is missing.
